Change DNS for emails (MX) Mail eXchange record

Steps

1. Go to WHM and log in
2. In the search engine at the top left, search for “edit dns”
3. Select the “Edit DNS zone” option
4. Choose the domain you want to change
5. Click “Edit”
6. Add or edit the “MX” entry to how the client wants it (usually with google for gmail)
7. Once added or edited, click on the “Save” option
8. Confirm with the client that the change has been made

Recommended validation

After changing MX, validate records from a public DNS tool and test sending/receiving. During propagation, there may be temporary intermittency.
