How to configure iOS to receive webmail emails?

Aim

Set up your domain email account on iPhone or iPad (Mail app) using secure parameters.

Necessary data

  • Complete email (example: ventas@tudominio.com)
  • Account password
  • Recommended server: mail.tudominio.com

Incoming mail (IMAP)

  • Host: mail.tudominio.com
  • Port: 993
  • Security: SSL/TLS
  • User: full email

Outgoing email (SMTP)

  • Host: mail.tudominio.com
  • Port: 465 (SSL/TLS) or 587 (STARTTLS)
  • Authentication: Yes
  • User: full email

Steps on iOS

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Mail > Accounts > Add account.
  2. Select Other > Add Email Account.
  3. Capture name, email and password.
  4. Choose IMAP.
  5. Enter the incoming and outgoing server data.
  6. Save and test send/receive.

Important note

Do not disable SSL unless support explicitly tells you to do so in a special case.
