How to configure Microsoft Outlook?

Aim

Connect your domain email account in Outlook (Microsoft 365 / Classic Outlook) securely.

Data you need

  • Complete email (example: ventas@tudominio.com)
  • Account password
  • Recommended server: mail.tudominio.com

Incoming (IMAP)

  • Server: mail.tudominio.com
  • Port: 993
  • Security: SSL/TLS
  • User: full email

Outgoing (SMTP)

  • Server: mail.tudominio.com
  • Port: 465 (SSL/TLS) or 587 (STARTTLS)
  • Authentication: Yes
  • User: full email

Steps in Outlook

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Go to Add account.
  3. Capture your email and select Advanced Settings.
  4. Choose IMAP.
  5. Enter the IMAP/SMTP parameters from above.
  6. Save and test sending and receiving.

Common problems

  • Does not send: confirms SMTP port and authentication.
  • Does not receive: check that the user has the complete email.
  • Certificate error: validates correct host (mail.tudominio.com) and active SSL/TLS.
