How to configure my domain email to use in Gmail?

Category: Mail

You can use Gmail to read and send emails with your domain (example: ventas@tudominio.com).

If your company uses Google Workspace, configure the DNS records that Google indicates for your domain (MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC as appropriate).

Alternative option: Personal Gmail (Send As)

If you don’t use Workspace, you can:

  1. Receive mail in Gmail (POP3).
  2. Send as your domain with SMTP authenticated.

Typical data for outgoing SMTP

  • Server: mail.tudominio.com
  • Port: 465 (SSL/TLS) or 587 (STARTTLS)
  • User: full email
  • Password: that of that account

Recommendations

  • Keep SPF, DKIM and DMARC correctly configured to improve deliverability.
  • If you change MX, wait for DNS propagation (it may take a few hours).
