Why am I not receiving emails?

There are several reasons why an email may not arrive. These are the most common:

Causes and solutions

  1. Your hosting account storage is full. Solution: Upgrade to one with more capacity or delete old files and emails.
  2. The quota assigned to your email account is full. Solution: increase the account capacity from cPanel → Email → Email Accounts.
  3. The user does not exist. Solution: create the account from your cPanel.
  4. The recipient is misspelled. Solution: check with the sender that you are sending to the correct address.
  5. The sender’s server is blocked. Solution: sometimes the server trying to deliver the mail appears on a blacklist (RBL or CBL). Ask the sender to check their reputation.
  6. Other delivery errors. Solution: in cPanel → Email → Delivery Tracking you can search for the email you were expecting and see the detailed record of the delivery attempt.

If none of the above solves the problem, contact support with as many details as possible: sender’s email or domain, approximate date and time.
