How to unblock my IP?
Goal
Regain access to cPanel, FTP or email when your IP was blocked for security.
Common causes of the block
- Multiple failed login attempts in a short time.
- Incorrect saved password in your email/FTP client.
- Scripts or plugins attempting repeated authentication.
Steps to unblock
- Check your public IP (for example on a “what’s my IP” service).
- Try to connect from another network (mobile data) to confirm that the block is by IP.
- Open a ticket with NubeHost and share:
- current public IP
- affected domain
- service (cPanel/FTP/email)
- approximate time of the block
- Wait for the unblock confirmation and try again.
Prevention
- Update passwords saved in email clients.
- Avoid automatic retries with old credentials.
- Use strong passwords and a password manager.
Validation
- You can access cPanel/FTP/email without error.
- The block does not reappear in the following minutes.
- Credentials are updated on all your devices.
