How to unblock my IP?

Goal

Regain access to cPanel, FTP or email when your IP was blocked for security.

Common causes of the block

  • Multiple failed login attempts in a short time.
  • Incorrect saved password in your email/FTP client.
  • Scripts or plugins attempting repeated authentication.

Steps to unblock

  1. Check your public IP (for example on a “what’s my IP” service).
  2. Try to connect from another network (mobile data) to confirm that the block is by IP.
  3. Open a ticket with NubeHost and share:
    • current public IP
    • affected domain
    • service (cPanel/FTP/email)
    • approximate time of the block
  4. Wait for the unblock confirmation and try again.

Prevention

  • Update passwords saved in email clients.
  • Avoid automatic retries with old credentials.
  • Use strong passwords and a password manager.

Validation

  • You can access cPanel/FTP/email without error.
  • The block does not reappear in the following minutes.
  • Credentials are updated on all your devices.
